Borat and Me

Last night I dreamt I was driving around my hometown with Borat. There were some other things that happened prior to this encounter, but the events have already begun to fade from my memory. I think I was starting a new band in a small town, but its all foggy at this point.

So there we were, driving down Monument Avenue in Richmond, Virginia. Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen) kept going in and out of character, and I was trying to play along so he'd know I was in on the joke. It was hard to tell if he was making fun of me, or if we were making fun of everyone else. We drove past some politicians and yelled, "Schmitza!" I have no idea what it means, but it was really funny at the time. We went to some sort of political gathering that reminded me of congress, and we were planning on causing some trouble. At some point, an elderly gentleman was setting out little trays of food with baby clementines and crackers. Borat freaked out and started reaching for them like a maniac. The old guy said, "Don't touch those now! They're for after the ceremony!" or something like that.

Finally, the presiding judge type of guy took the podium and brought up some sort of kid that sat behind him. The kid, a teenager, was either really out of it, strung out on drugs, or mentally disabled in some way. The next thing I knew, Borat was sitting where the kid had been, with a goofy smile on his face. The judge hadn't yet realized the joke. I suppose it was only a matter of time before the proper authorities had Borat removed, but that's all I remember. Then I must've woken up.
