Zombies, Science, and Nature

The first thing I remember is zombies. I don't dream about zombies that often, but it does happen. In this one, chaos had engulfed the city. I actually saw someone I know who had become a zombie. I remember looking away as some guy took a swing at him with a pickaxe. It was really disturbing. There were people running everywhere in panic. Next thing I know, I'm in a helicopter flying over the city. In one section that must've been totally infested with undead, I could see explosions and missiles being fired by the military. I remember thinking how futile their efforts were. Then I was being airdropped on top of the building that was supposed to be the center of the problem. The free fall to the roof felt very real.

As I made my way into the guts of the building, I didn't encounter any zombies, but at the bottom, I found a science lab that had been ransacked. Behind a door that had been barricaded, I found a whole group of people that had been holed up in the basement of the building. The details get hazy here, but after some quarreling between the people, it was decided that I pilot a special ship to a faraway place (like a swamp) to find the answer to the zombie problem. I remember flying the ship underwater through an immense overgrowth of green plant life. My last thoughts before waking were, "Of course it's safe from zombies here because no human could survive here. Is this the fate of the human race?" Then I woke up.
